About Zane Prater
Rooted in botanical illustration, mythopoetic symbolism, and ecological storytelling, the work of the American artist Zane Prater is a beautiful blend of portraiture and the natural landscapes all around us. Trained in classical figurative painting at the Barcelona Academy of Art, his work combines technical precision with a multidisciplinary approach to explore humanity’s evolving relationship to the natural world.

On the historic canals of Amsterdam you can find the Ambassade Hotel, which sets itself apart from other hotels due to its rich cultural legacy. Since the 1980s it has been known as a “writers’ hotel,” hosting countless authors from around the world, and simultaneously it is host of an extensive CoBrA art collection, featuring more than 800 works by key figures of the post-war avant-garde art moment with artists such as Karel Appel, Asger Jorn and many others.
