In September 2022, Bisco Smith was part of our Summer Camp in Lagos, Nigeria. Here he was together with the South African artist Seth Pimentel, exploring the city, the culture scene in Lagos, and getting inspired by each others creative processes.

Through channeling the energy of the moment with gestural marks and abstracted lyrical text, the American contemporary artist Bisco Smith is carving out his own path. With his graffiti deconstructive approach Bisco is reimagining the execution of abstract expressionist painting, with them aim of inspiring hope for the future.
