Spotlight: spain
Spain is a land of bold contrasts—snow-capped mountains and sunbaked plains, quiet villages and cities that never sleep. Life here bursts with energy, from flamenco rhythms echoing in Andalusia to late-night tapas shared under warm skies. Unlike much of Europe, Spain is a mosaic of distinct regions—Catalonia, Basque Country, Galicia—each with its own language, traditions, and fierce identity. Its cultural heritage spans Moorish palaces, Roman ruins, Gothic cathedrals, and the surreal visions of Gaudí and Picasso. In Spain, the past and present dance together, vibrant, passionate, and unapologetically alive.
Our spotlight on Spain allows you to find a series of artworks and limited edition silkscreen prints inspired by the country. Portugal has been the destination of a numerous trips with The Jaunt, and below you can find a selection of prints inspired by the beautiful country.

About Remed
Remed’s first moves into the art world date back to 1995, when he discovered the art of painting inside a atelier in Lille France. For a long time he worked solely inside, taking refuge in the privacy and quietness of his room or studio. After due time, his desire to share and show his work led him to work on the streets, and this is most likely where you have encountered one of his many murals. With simple yet effective shapes and composition Remed draws you into his work, to introduce you to his emotions, feelings and evolution of thoughts. As Remed says it best himself: “I live what I feel, I paint what I live”

About Troy Lovegates
Troy Lovegates materialized in the late 90's out of the artist formerly known as "Other. Known for his character based finger-paintings, made with oil bars blended onto the cold metal sides of freight trains which constantly click clack across North America. Another more stationary body of Troy's work can also be found outdoors, scattered across the globe in the form of murals. As a self-described ‘collector of lost souls’, Troy focuses on the figure as a story, building motifs through heavily condensed mark making, drawing from equal parts caricature and realistic observation.

During the course of her artistic practice Wasted Rita has been exploring her love-hate relationship with life and her surrounding world. Dubbing herself as a Natural Born Agent Provocateur, she likes to think, write and draw without filter, resulting in little gems of sarcastic wisdom dipped in acid which reflect on an unconventional upbringing in a Catholic school to the sounds of Black Flag. Her creative process ranges from sculptural objects, installations, paintings, drawings and writing, using her unique voice to give form to her mordant observations and poetic invectives on human behaviour and contemporary culture.

About Petra Eriksson
Originally born in Stockholm, and currently based in Barcelona, Petra Eriksson works as an artist and illustrator. In her work she carefully balances bright colours and a mix of organic and flat graphics to visualise her client briefings, but also her own ideology’s in her self-initiated projects. Self conscious and aware of the world around her, Petra made a commitment to try reduce her impact on the environment.
