Spotlight: portugal
Portugal, where the continent of Europe meets the vast Atlantic, is a country defined by its light, its coast, and a quiet, enduring spirit. Life here flows with a certain calm—fishermen mending nets, families gathering over shared meals, and Fado singers giving voice to a beautiful melancholy. Portugal carries a sense of introspection shaped by centuries of exploration, solitude, and resilience. Its cultural richness lives in tiled façades, ancient cities like Lisbon and Porto, and traditions passed down with gentle pride.
Our spotlight on Portugal allows you to find a series of artworks and limited edition silkscreen prints inspired by the country. Portugal has been the destination of a numerous trips with The Jaunt, and below you can find a selection of prints inspired by the beautiful country.

About Ekta
Ekta is the moniker of the Swedish artist Daniel Götesson, who currently lives and works in Gothenburg, Sweden. His work is humbly described by himself as “placing shapes and colours in an order that feels right”. Working with bold geometric shapes and vibrant lines in vivid colours, his work always carries a signature of freedom and excitement. The attentive Jaunt followers might recognize his work from our sixth when Erosie traveled to Sweden and met with Ekta along the way to paint a mural. Now it’s Ekta’s time to travel and become inspired by his new surroundings.
