Spotlight: The Balkans
The Balkans, a rugged and diverse region in southeastern Europe, stretches from the Adriatic to the Black Sea, where mountains, rivers, and ancient forests shape both land and identity. Its history is a vivid mosaic of empires—Ottoman, Byzantine, Austro-Hungarian—layered with conflict, resilience, and deep-rooted traditions. From the stone bridges of Bosnia to the monasteries of Serbia, the coastal beauty of Croatia to the folk dances of Bulgaria, each country carries a fierce cultural pride. The way of life here is heartfelt and communal, marked by hospitality, strong coffee, and stories passed down through generations.
Our spotlight on the Balkans allows you to find a series of artworks and limited edition prints inspired by the region and below you can find a selection of prints inspired by this beautiful region.

About Vincent de Boer
As a painter and craftsman, Vincent de Boer seeks for poetry and nuances in the calligraphic line. He explores the limits of language by asking the question: can you tell a complete story in a single letter? Driven by a fascination for the traces left after making a movement, Vincent explores his self-imposed technical challenges. While calligraphy is primarily known as a textual tool, Vincent is more interested in the mystical contradictions hidden within it, such as the depth of a flat surface, transcendental time and elusive tactility.

About Morcky
If you walked around on the streets of Amsterdam in the early 2000’s, you will have undoubtedly been exposed to the works of Morcky. He painted his signature boombox speakers relentlessly all over town. Originally Morcky comes from Italy, but Amsterdam quickly became a second home. Morcky grew up with graffiti, and afterwards fell in love with illustration and animation. His greatest daily struggle, according to himself, is to combine all of these disciplines. Characteristically for his work are his expressive pen lines, capturing the candid beauty of his surroundings.
