€200.00

Destination: Seoul, South Korea
Date: 28 November - 05 December, 2014

About Raymond Lemstra:
There is something distinctively unique about the work of Raymond Lemstra. His aesthetic features a rare mix of primal and innovative influences, seemingly combined without much effort. Or maybe it is just his childlike curiosity and endless imagination that fuels the fantasy world of Raymond’s art. With his highly detailed and labour intensive drawings Raymond is looking for the clash between randomness and reason, between organic curves and firm linear forms, all with the purpose to inspire a sense of joy and discovery in the viewer. With that in mind, it is beyond our imagination what will inspire Raymond on his trip to the mesmerising capital of South Korea.

Just a few hours outside of the city lies the DMZ, the heavily armed border between North and South Korea, and one of the only places where you can get a sneak peek at the most secretive country in the world. Meanwhile back in Seoul, we will take you to the neighbouring areas of Songpa and Gangnam, one of which you may have heard mentioned in a song recently. Raymond will set up his temporary home in Songpa, and it is from there he will be exploring the city and beyond.
